In this world of technology nowadays, Small business holds a wide variety of meanings in it.These small agencies can be freelancing, community marketing, Entrepreneurship, domestic enterprise of income and purchasing and many others. Whatever the commercial enterprise, the principle goal of it’s far to offer the financial independence to others.

SBIR offers grants to small businesses so they can incentivize their performance and commercialize their potential. It is a highly  competitive award that helps businesses to achieve higher excellence and innovation. However, To qualify for SBIR grant there is a criteria to fulfil .

• GRANTS:

Grant is usually a reward given by one entity to other in order to grow their business or incentivize their performance. It is something different from fund and ,Entity receiving it doesn’t have to pay it back 

For approval of grant, business must be of -profit- type.


NSF (National science Foundation) varies in success rate which is approximately 10-20% approval of tota grant proposals.

CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL OF GRANT:

There are 3 phases for SBIR grant application :

Phase -1:   The phase-I helps you to focus on the feasibility, potential and merit of your research project with budget award up to $100,00 for 9 months. 

Phase-2: You will be eligible for phase-2 only if you have been go through     phase-I successfully. NSF Award is $1,000,000 for 24 months.

Phase-3: Phase-3 has no any fixed amount of award. PHASE-3 work is basically Oriented towards commercialization of SBIR research .




PREFERRED APPLICANTS FOR GRANT PROPOSAL :

If you want to get SBIR grant proposal you must fulfil these necessities.

1: Your business project must be of profit type and has feasibility.

2: It ought to be targeted on the technical benefit and commercialization.

3: It have to be gratifying the above stages and need to be related to network requirements and boosting economic system.
